Tonight Shelby celebrated her birthday with 7 of her closest friends including her cousin Alexa who she loves living close to. They arrived in their PJ's for an evening of fun and pampering!
We decorated flip flops, talk about unleashing creativity, these girls made some of the cutest flip flops. They were also exceptionally good at posing for lots of pictures. They were over for 4 hours, we ate pizza, decorated the flip flops, worked on little scrapbooks done with envelopes (way cute!!), painted nails, ate cake and ice cream and posed for more pics. They were begging to stay later, but I have to fly out to Texas tomorrow morning for my brothers wedding and had to say no...sorry girls! Happy Birthday Shelby! We sure do love you and couldn't imagine our family without you!
(Sorry about the haphazard arrangment of pics....I will eventually figure out this blog thing!)
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." - Marianne Williamson
I am mostly a mom to four wonderful children who are my world. I love to play volleyball along with most other sports. I work part-time as an office manager/bookkeeper, which is challenging and busy
"To you women of today, who are old or young, may I suggest to you that you write, that you keep journals, that you express your thoughts on paper. Writing is a great discipline. It is a tremendous education effort. It will assist you in various ways, and you will bless the lives of many--now and in the years to come, as you put on paper some of your experiences and some of your musings." --President Gordon B. Hinckley
